A Louisville Fourth of July

I know it is only May, but I am a planner. M and I just decided we are going to be spending the Fourth of July in Louisville with our sweet friends Brie and Beau. Now I'm totally one of those people that says "Louie-ville" so let's just get that out of the way in case we ever meet in person so you can laugh now instead of to my face.

Anyways, I already have a running list of things I want to do while there:

1. Visit the Lil Cheezers food truck. And eat everything. I don't even care if gluten hates me and this will make me miserable for a week, I'm eating it.

2. Check out Waterfront Park.

3. Go meander or ride around Old Louisville.

4. Drink some Bourbon. Duh. Maybe check out the Bourbon Trail.

5. Visit 4th Street Live!

6. Get my tourist picture in front of the slugger museum.

7. Run a race (5 or 10k) while there. However, I am having a hard time finding one.

I know some of you are from Louisville (I'm looking at you Taylor), what else should we do while there?!

  1. Oh my gosh....#6. Kevin would LOVE that. We recently bought personalized Louisville Sluggers for my brother-in-law and nephew for Father's Day/nephew's bday and Kevin is whining about how he wants one now. haha. I need to get him one! Louisville sounds fun...I've never been!

  2. I used to live not too far from Louisville, but we never went there all that much. I've been to the Slugger museum and factory, and walked by the river and gone to Joe's Crab Shack there, but that's about it! I remember seeing signs showing all the different pronunciations for Louisville. I'm more of a "Low"ville girl myself.

  3. EEEEEEEE!!! This makes me SO HAPPY!!!! Can't wait for you to visit "Louvull", as we say it :) Yes you have to go to the bat museum- maybe even a Bats game! Those are fun! I'll have to think of some more "Louisvilley" things for ya!

  4. Yay!! If your around maybe we can grab coffee and talk wedding stuff!! :)

  5. I LOVE LIL CHEEZERS!!!! I keep begging them via social media to expand to SC! I was sooo sad when their standalone restaurant closed, but I've heard the food truck is just as good.

  6. I have heard the same!!! I'm such a foodie which makes me so excited for it! Even if the gluten will torture me for days after hahahaha

I would love to hear from you! I try to respond to all comments.
