Backyard Makeover

Early on after M and I got engaged, my dad told me he would be driving out to Missouri from California with our gift in a U-Haul. I had no idea what he had up his sleeve. Somewhere along the way, I mentioned we wanted to build a chicken coup, and he said that he would build us one, so I knew we were at least getting that. Below are photos of what we actually got.We were BLOWN AWAY.

You might be asking yourself what that is. That, my friends, is our chicken coup! It is designed to look like a carriage. Awesome.

Everything (mostly) you see was constructed out of used wine barrels. Growing up in Sonoma County, I was always intrigued by wine barrels, so you bet I was pleasantly surprised when I saw all of this for the first time! Needless to say, we are going to need to have a party soon!
