Our Wedding: Reception

We had such a great time at our reception. Between the cocktail hour, corn hole (or "bags" as some call it), food, and dancing it was a GREAT time. I will share the details more closely in a future post, but here are some of my favorite photos from the reception.

Somehow after the ceremony, my new family and I all ended up in a group hug and it was captured on camera.

We were far too caught up in all the details to coordinate any sort of grand entrance, so thankfully our wedding party handled that one on their own.

Next came speeches from M's brother (and best man) and my maid of honor. M's dad opened up dinner with a prayer for us.

And then we stuffed our faces. I was so excited to eat but all the festivities told my stomach otherwise!

My mom put together a slideshow to show during dinner. It showed both of us growing up, then our relationship up until that day. It was really sweet and I know our guests enjoyed it too.

After dinner was the obligatory cake cutting. These photos crack me up. We didn't really talk about what or how we would do this prior to the day of, so it ended up being a strange event for both of us.

Then of course came all of the dances... M and I danced to a cover of the Journey song "Faithfully."

We spent the rest of the evening socializing and dancing the night away. As you can see from these photos, I have some pretty creative facial expressions. I can't wait to share our video as I think the dancing clips will be better then photos. And our photographer had already left when things started to get REALLY fun.
