A Reintroduction

I have noticed quite a few new followers around these parts and I just wanted to take a bit to reintroduce myself to everyone! Hopefully by now you have realized my name is Cassie, but here are a few things you maybe didn't realize:

My husband and I were recently married in June of this year after being engaged just over a year. We got engaged of June, 2013 and moved to the Midwest in August, 2013. We were married just south of Kansas City at a brand new venue. The venue hadn't even been built when we booked it- talk about a leap of faith! Wedding planning taught us quite a few things, such as what not to say to a bride and how to choose the perfect wedding photographer.

My husband works for the university by day and does photography by night and I am a full-time graduate student. We tend to spend our free time in the outdoors whether we are hiking, cycling, or adventuring it's definitely our favorite place to be. We have two cats that rule our house; but we love them anyways. I would have a whole zoo of animals if my husband would let me. We are both really involved with our church and have a passion for serving and community.

That brings me to my next point. I'm an atheist gone Jesus-loving gal. I was recently baptized in June of 2013, shortly after graduating college. It has definitely been the journey of a lifetime, and I would never want to go back to being lost. If you've been around for some time, you probably caught me musing about faith quite a bit. I really strive to be REAL in my walk with Jesus and share the gospel for what it really is. It's a messy, beautiful thing.

I hope that my blog is a place you find you can come to for guidance, hope, and a good laugh. I want to inspire women as other bloggers have inspired me and truly enjoy connecting with others. I hope that you will stay a while and introduce yourself below if we haven't had a chance to talk yet!

  26. I attended The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. I really loved the program, as the school believes you can only take someone as far as you've gone yourself. So there's a lot of emphasis on personal work in the beginning. It was a great experience :)

    Where are you attending?

I don't think there's a timeline on the award, so take your time!
