I was so flattered when Madison from Wetherills Say I do tagged me to participate in the Tour Through Blogland. Madison is a blogger that I look up to a lot. Her content is fresh, relatable, and fun! She also created the most perfect media kit for me recently which you can see here. Thank you so much for nominating me Madison! I haven't had the opportunity to participate in something like this yet, and I love that it gives you all a little peek into the magic behind Sage!
What am I working on?You may or may not know that I recently started offering sponsorship options, so big chunk of my time has been spent perfecting this. I really want to do everything I can to help my sponsors grow, as attentive bloggers are who helped me grow when I was starting out! I have also been working on a Holiday Gift Guide that Karissa and I will be revealing November 3rd. The gift guide will feature small businesses hand chosen by us and each business will be offering a special promo code just for our readers! I can't wait to share it with you all
How does my work differ from others from its genre? This is a question I often ask myself. The blogopshere is a BIG place with tons of competition and I think it's important to have your own mission statement for your blog. What makes me stand out, I think, is my authenticity. I have really tried to "tell it how it is" no matter how hard that can be at times.
Why do I write/create what I do?People always say you should write for yourself but I see things differently. I blog for others- for you. When I first started coming to know Christ (after being an adamant atheist), I read a lot of faith-based blogs. Blogs that showed me not all Christians are hateful and that not all distort the gospel. Reading blogs during this time was a huge part of my own self-exploration and really helped me get to the point I am at today. So I write for people like me. People that didn't know Jesus and are looking for a REAL take on the faith.
How does your writing/creative process work?I am incredibly Type A. I plan blog posts on my Erin Condren planner over a month out at times and I am constantly jotting down post ideas. Now, that doesn't always mean I have the words to say, but I usually at least have a topic in mind. Sometimes my posts are carefully formulated and crafted, and other times I just try to share what is on my heart. Sometimes it's messy, sometimes it's long, and sometimes it violates all the "rules." But it works for me and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Your next stops on the Blog Tour are:Living on Cloud Nine. Cassie is probably no stranger to you all as I mention her frequently on the blog. Her and her husband recently celebrated their one year anniversary in Boston and she can rock adorable laid-back outfits better then anyone I know!
Renee from Mulling Over My Morning Coffee. Renee is a woman after my own heart. She pours out so much passion into her posts, which mostly focus on faith and living a Christ-centered purposeful life. Her ability to be candid draws me in every time and her words have a way of reaching straight to my core.
Amy from Set Free. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Amy better over the last few months and I cannot say enough good things about this woman. She's an amazing mother and has a heart of gold. I've also really enjoyed learning more about essential oils through her blog!
Thanks so much for coming by for this stop on the blog tour! I hope you enjoy your next few stops!
