Tell Me About Your Town: Best Date Night Locations

Let's get real here for a minute. We are super cheap. We are also total introverts, so our date nights tend to look pretty lame and repetitive- but we love them and that's all that matters. That being said, the best date night locations in our town are the restaurant Bleu and a redbox rental + our comfy couch and kitties. We are party animals over here.

Bleu. We rarely splurge, but when we do it is almost always on good food. We are complete and total foodies and Bleu has some GREAT locally grown dishes and cocktails. Some of my favorite dishes include their bacon brussel sprouts, fish tacos, and the roasted sweet potato sandwich. Not to mention they have a great outdoor seating area that we love to enjoy during the warmer months of the year. Lots of girls nights and happy hours have been had here as well.

Redbox. Because who actually wants to spend like $25 to go see a movie and sit in uncomfortable theater chairs when you can watch movies from the pleasure of your own home for a tenth of the price. Our town has an obscene number of Redboxes (I'm totally selling you on Columbia right now, huh?!).

Our Couch. Who doesn't love a comfortable couch to snuggle on during date night? This couch has seen great conversation, tears, and a lot of fun which makes it perfect for a laid-back date night. When you come visit our town, we might even let you sit on it...

Don't forget to link up for the next "Tell Me About Your Town" to share what we would do together on a blate (blogger date) in your town!

  1. omg Redbox and the couch! YES! Sounds perfect to me! Seriously, I'm with you! Movies are WAY too expensive. Between the 1.00 theater 1/2 mile away from us and rexbox we are set!

  5. Haha love this!! My husband and I are definitely couch and movie people so this sounds remarkably similar to what we do.

  6. What a fun link-up idea! I'll have to put together a little guide to Jacksonville! I do a "local love" series with some of my favorite spots around here: http://pinkcoffeephoto.com/blog/?s=local+love

  8. Haha I love this! Hunter and I very rarely go out on dates - we love cooking up a good meal, Redboxing a movie, and just relaxing. Sometimes we'll get a wild hair in our butt and build a bonfire. Whoop whoop!

  10. I really love that you listed your couch. For real, I thought about that too, but then was like, 'nah, let's pretend I'm not an antisocial hermit.' Haha. Thanks for co-hosting!!
