Spring Book List

Spring Book List

If you follow me on Goodreads, you might know my "to-read" shelf has 104 books on it. I'm usually able to read a lot over Christmas and summer break, but things get crazy for me during the school year. However, I have been trying to prioritize the books I really want to read once I have the time again. Here's what's at the top of my spring book list!

"Daring Greatly" by Brene Brown | "Me Before You" by Jojo Moyes | "Leaving Time" by Jodi Picoult

"The Best Yes" by Lysa Terkeurst | "Big Little Lies" by Liane Moriarty | "Let's All Be Brave" by Annie Downs

"Prayer" by Timothy Keller | "All the Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr | "The Girl on the Train" by Paula Hawkins

Have you read any of these books? Are we friends on Goodreads yet?!

  3. Great selections.....Me Before You is great! Loved Big Little Lies too. The ending of Leaving Time shocked me. All the Light We Cannot See (It's March's Between the Lines' book) was wonderful! We Were Liars is April's book club selection...join us! We clearly have the same (great) taste in books. Oh and I'm currently reading The Girl on the Train...loving it so far!

  7. I just added you as a friend no Goodreads :) I'm reading Me Before You right now and I'm really enjoying it. I've been on the waiting list for All the Light we Cannot See at the library for forever. I'm about ready to ask my mom just to ship me her copy! The Girl on the Train is also on my "to read" list.

  8. You really should join our book club! All The Light We Cannot See was a great book. The page number might turn a few people off - it's over 500 pages - but the chapters are crazy short and it's a quick read. We also have Leaving Time and Big Little Lies on our list, plus I added The Girl On The Train to it as well. I also want to read The Best Yes sometime this year too.

  9. So I've made it my new goal to finish all of the books I am in the middle of before starting any new ones. But as soon as I finish them these books will be added :)

  10. You'll have to let me know what you think of them!

  12. Oooh, I'll try to remember that! April is INSANE for me so I have been trying not to make too many blogging commitments but when I start a new book I will make sure it's that one so I can potentially join in!

  19. I need to update my Goodreads list - I just haven't had a chance to stop and read lol!

  20. YES to Me Before You and All the Light We Cannot See! Both excellent books (though written in two completely different styles). To me, the story is what made MBY so great, but the writing is what made ATLWCS so good; the actual "story" was mediocre but the writing made it beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  22. That's so helpful to know! I hope to get to both but I might start with All the Light We Cannot See :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Totally understandable. You don't have to commit to our book club, but we seem to be reading books you would be interested in. It's just a thought!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'll definitely join if I can!!!

  36. Yes!!! I recently joined Goodreads and thought to myself, I need to find Cassie on here ;) I noticed today that you found me so yay! You would be so proud - I've been MAKING TIME to read an actual book each night before bed and I can't tell you how much better I've been sleeping, wow. Thanks for the suggestions here!

  37. All the Light We Cannot See. Almost done! Good book, but didn't quite live up to the hype.

  38. I haven't read any of these, but after reading the descriptions a few of them sound really intriguing to me. I really should cave and get a GoodReads account - everyone tells me I should and I know it would be a great tool, I just need to actually sign up.

  40. I just finished "Leaving Time" yesterday! Loved it though I think a bit of it is a bit hokey. You'll know what I'm talking about when you read it. It's still worth it though and a good story. Kept me wanting to get to the next chapter!

  41. I was so happy when I found you! Oooh What are you reading? And YES I always sleep much better too-otherwise I am on my phone until bed and that's awful for me

  48. ME BEFORE YOU. YES. I sobbed at this one. Like even after I had finished it, I couldn't stop. So be prepared. But it is SO, SO GOOD. You'll love it. (Hopefully... now that I've talked it up so much!)

    ReplyDelete
  49. So many of these are on my list, too! Which one are you starting with?

    ReplyDelete
  50. I love them too! But my problem is I love making lists but then rarely get to all the books on that list hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  51. I have heard the same thing from many people!

    ReplyDelete
  52. I have no idea! I haven't even gotten that far yet hahah

    ReplyDelete
  53. That seems to be the consensus, I can't wait to dive in!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I just finished The Girl on The Train, and I'm starting Big Little Lies now!

    ReplyDelete
  55. What did you think of The Girl on the Train? I have heard mixed reviews

    ReplyDelete
  56. I added you on Goodreads just now! Among the books you've listed here, I've only read Me Before You. Thanks for these recommendations, Cassie!

  60. It was very good. Beautifully written. I just was expecting a top 5 book that I would not be able to put down. I enjoyed the story and the writing, it just wasn't a book that I would rave about as one of the best books I have read.

  61. hahaha! Well let me know when you decide!
