Taking Stock / 04

Making: a bunch of crockpot meals! Life gets crazy this time of year and this has been so helpful.

Cooking: way too much of this quiche. I can't stop eating it.

Drinking: beer. I'm super in love with our local beers lately.

Reading: well, trying to read "Last Days" for my book club. I'm having a really hard time getting into it.

Wanting: to sleep for a week straight. SO TIRED.

Looking: forward to the trips we have planned this summer.

Playing: soccer. I've been playing intramural soccer with some of the students in my program. I definitely don't play like I used to.

Wasting: too much time watching Netflix. oops.

Sewing: did you actually think I would be sewing something?

Wishing: I could snap my fingers and have my thesis done. Dream big, right?

Enjoying: the weather this time of year.

Waiting: for my first Golden Tote bag to arrive! EEEEK.

Liking: going back and reading all of my "Taking Stock" posts.

Wondering: when I will stop feeling like I am in a blogging slump. I have been so busy lately that this little space has started to feel forced. I know this will pass and I'm looking forward to when it does.

Loving: having our new dog! It's so nice to have a running buddy.

Hoping: I can get out of this dry season of my faith soon.

Marveling: at how beautiful American Sign Language is. I have had so much fun jumping back in on classes this semester.

Needing: to put myself out there more. I love to isolate when life gets busy.

Wearing: SANDALS. I love being able to throw on my rainbows instead of a million layers.

Following: along with all of the amazing #morethanaframe photos on Instagram! So fun. Join us!

Noticing: this post has been getting a lot of attention. I love that I can openly share my struggles and be met with nothing but support.

Knowing: this little space has turned into something awesome. I love coming here everyday to connect with all of you.

Thinking: about how rough my run was on Saturday. I bonked BIG TIME.

Feeling: thankful for my husband. He take pretty good care of me.

Bookmarking: Bruce Jenner articles. I can't stop.

Opening: WAY TOO MANY TABS ALL THE TIME. I should have a maximum number of tabs I am allowed to have open at one time.

Giggling: at myself. The usual.

What's going on in your life currently?

  1. I love these posts- I'm nosy and love to see what others have going on! Can't wait to read your review of Golden Tote! By the way, I made that quiche after you mentioned it on Twitter. I needed a new breakfast idea and I'm obsessed! Thanks!

  3. Thank god I'm not the only one who constantly has half a million tabs open at the same time. I'm totally intrigued by this *quiche* thing that you speak of - off to check out the recipe!

  5. I always feel incredibly weird if I don't have multiple tabs open at once. What have you been "wasting" so much time watching on Netflix currently?

  8. It's seriously a problem. Quiche is similar to a frittata or omelet just with a crust. Like a breakfast pie haha

  12. When I have Jordan edit my posts he always gets mad at me for how many tabs I keep open -- he says it slows my computer down, which is probably true..haha.

  14. I've been really busy lately too. I think it's just something about spring. Everyone shoves so much during this time of year because they all want to take it slow over the summer. It will pass soon. Crock pot meals for the win.

  19. We will be going back home to Arizona and also to San Antonio for a conference! Ireland is amazing- do you know where yet?

  20. We are wanting to visit Arizona next year! You'll love San Antonio. As for Ireland, we know we'll be staying near Dublin, and are wanting to explore as much as we can around the country. I'd love any advice or recommendations of what to see!

  21. Where in AZ? Yeah, I can definitely give you some ideas about what to do in Dublin and the surrounding area! Maybe I'll do a post on it.

  24. Haha I always have like 20 tabs open too, I just cannot help it! :)
ASL is lovely, isn't it? I took classes back in my first job because I was working with a program for internships for the deaf and hard of hearing. Funny how different British sign language is to ASL!

  25. We aren't sure yet, but possibly Sedona. Just want to see a new part of the country, and AZ always sounds so enticing!

Yes, I would love that!! You are welcome to email me, or a blog post would be amazing, too. We are excited about the trip already!

  26. I'm always doing ridiculous things so it only seems natural to laugh at myself!

  27. That's so cool! Yeah, it's definitely different. ASL is more similar to French SL! It's really an amazing language
