Did you hear that #morethanaframe is back?! Amber and I could not be more pleased with the community that has developed since our first round of prompts and we are so glad to be back. This community is such an encouragement to me. I hope that you will continue to engage with one another by commenting, e-mailing, and growing together.
This week's prompt was THRIVE. As always, I was blown away by the interpretations. Some were so similar, but unique at the same time. I think I learned that to THRIVE looks different for most people but just brings this sense of JOY that isn't always found elsewhere. Here are my favorites from this week:
To thrive is to abide in the True Vine. To thrive is to be rooted deeply. To thrive is to go through pruning to bear better fruit. To thrive is to weather the storms and hold fast through the changing seasons. To thrive is to be fully alive and constantly growing. // #thrive #morethanaframe #vscocam
Been thinking more on what it means to THRIVE this week, and here's what I've got so far. This world tells us that we have to strive in order to thrive, that our output is directly correlated to our effort. And what I love about Jesus is that He flips that upside down, and says nope! Don't strive, rest. Don't depend on your own power, dwell in mine. Don't run ahead of me, wait on me. And together? We'll make something insanely amazing. Together, we'll THRIVE through this life, and into eternity. For those of you chasing dreams today, I hope you know that it's not all on your shoulders. I hope you know that He put that dream in your heart because He loves to help you get there, even if "there" is entirely different than what you envisioned in the first place. We were made to THRIVE, but thriving can get awfully exhausting when we're running on our own fuel. So let's run on His fuel today, yes? Yes. 👊🏼🙌🏼 #morethanaframe #thrive
After failing the 1-hour glucose test last Thursday I was upset & worried that the last trimester wouldn't be good to me. But I just got word that I passed the 3-hour test with flying colors! 👍 So now I officially enter the third trimester with a better attitude and plans for Baby & I to #thrive during our last 12 weeks together! We can do this! #BabyFlorken #28weeks #morethanaframe
T H R I V E means "to grow or flourish." I spent the 4th of July holding a few babies and eating a lot of potato salad. I knew Sunday would show up quickly and I wasn't ready to get back to the "real world." I dreaded Monday morning because I knew I was going to be forced to grow at work; pressured to completely let go of my normal routine. I guess my point for this post is that sometimes to T H R I V E isn't pretty or fun. It's hard work to grow, it's sometimes really frustrating to flourish. But at the end of the day, it's good to remember that nothing stays the same. Just like the baby snuggles that end too quickly, the new computer system madness will too. #morethanaframe #thrive
This week's #morethanaframe prompt with @mrthomasandme and @thatsageblog is THRIVE. Lately, I've been so aware that thriving looks so different depending on the seasons of our/my life. Yes, there was a time when I moved across the country to #SF without knowing anyone and started a new career and yes, I thrived. It was a dramatic adventure where my thriving was obvious. Now, I am in a new season. Thriving looks different. Knowing I am eating #foodasmedicine and slowly but surely my health is improving also means I am thriving. Sometimes just being able to swim on a nice day with a friend and her babe is thriving. Keeping my mind as calm and peaceful as this water is thriving...my body as clean as the water is thriving. I want to thrive in whatever situation I find myself–good or bad. God can use it. #chicago #igerschicago #chi #312 #chitecturecruise #insta_chicago #chicago_ig #chicagolife #rooftop
This weeks's #morethanaframe prompt is thrive. My friendships thrive on fun and laughter. If we are to be friends you must have a sense of humor. We thrive on good natured pranks such as decorating our vacationing friends' home for Christmas in July. Mismatched holiday decor and even a light up wiener dog on the eave of their porch. What do your friendships thrive on?
The face you make when you're locked out of your apartment after your run 😐😑 guess I'll get some stretching in 😁 #halfmarathontraining Edit: I've decided to make this my #morethanaframe photo this week because honestly the post run feeling is what makes me #thrive lately. My stress level is through the roof and honestly I couldn't handle it if I didn't have my runs and boot camp clsssed to decompress, whether first thing in the morning or at the end of a long day :)
And in case you missed mine:
If the last two years has taught me anything it's that I THRIVE when surrounded by community. Although it's often easy for me to hide behind the excuse of being an introvert, I NEED community. I need community because it points me to Jesus, calls me out on my shit, and loves me in the midst of my failures. It helps me to thrive while also showing me that I can do better. What makes you THRIVE? #morethanaframe
There is still time to join us! Don't miss out!
