#morethanaframe: THRIVE

Did you hear that #morethanaframe is back?! Amber and I could not be more pleased with the community that has developed since our first round of prompts and we are so glad to be back. This community is such an encouragement to me. I hope that you will continue to engage with one another by commenting, e-mailing, and growing together.

This week's prompt was THRIVE. As always, I was blown away by the interpretations. Some were so similar, but unique at the same time. I think I learned that to THRIVE looks different for most people but just brings this sense of JOY that isn't always found elsewhere. Here are my favorites from this week:

Been thinking more on what it means to THRIVE this week, and here's what I've got so far. This world tells us that we have to strive in order to thrive, that our output is directly correlated to our effort. And what I love about Jesus is that He flips that upside down, and says nope! Don't strive, rest. Don't depend on your own power, dwell in mine. Don't run ahead of me, wait on me. And together? We'll make something insanely amazing. Together, we'll THRIVE through this life, and into eternity. For those of you chasing dreams today, I hope you know that it's not all on your shoulders. I hope you know that He put that dream in your heart because He loves to help you get there, even if "there" is entirely different than what you envisioned in the first place. We were made to THRIVE, but thriving can get awfully exhausting when we're running on our own fuel. So let's run on His fuel today, yes? Yes. πŸ‘ŠπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌ #morethanaframe #thrive

This week's #morethanaframe prompt with @mrthomasandme and @thatsageblog is THRIVE. Lately, I've been so aware that thriving looks so different depending on the seasons of our/my life. Yes, there was a time when I moved across the country to #SF without knowing anyone and started a new career and yes, I thrived. It was a dramatic adventure where my thriving was obvious. Now, I am in a new season. Thriving looks different. Knowing I am eating #foodasmedicine and slowly but surely my health is improving also means I am thriving. Sometimes just being able to swim on a nice day with a friend and her babe is thriving. Keeping my mind as calm and peaceful as this water is thriving...my body as clean as the water is thriving. I want to thrive in whatever situation I find myself–good or bad. God can use it. #chicago #igerschicago #chi #312 #chitecturecruise #insta_chicago #chicago_ig #chicagolife #rooftop
