United Relay of America and How YOU Can Help!

Disclaimer: I received a free entry for United Relay of America as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to review find and write race reviews!

I'm really excited because I have recently been given the opportunity to participate in United Relay which is the first non-stop running relay setting off from Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles and meeting in New York City! Three routes from the West to the East coast of America, over 9,000 runners and one aim: inspire, empower and connect people across America – to not just be part of running history, but to be united for a better world! If you’re interested please consider signing up!

Part of participating in United Relay is raising money for one of the causes they partner with. I will be running a 9 mile leg and an 11 mile leg in mid-Missouri both on May 20th in honor of Girl Rising (GO RED TEAM!). Girl Rising is a global campaign for girls’ education. They raise awareness about the issue, inspire action and drive resources to their partners, and together make change happen. Their partners include World Vision and Room to Read, among others. You can read more about that here.

I’m writing to ask for your support as I get ready to participate in this race and raise money for Girl Rising. Here’s how you can help:

1. Sponsor me and help me reach my $300 goal. I have already raised 33% of my goal since signing up last week. With even a few dollars of help from 10 people I will reach my goal in no time! DONATE HERE.

2. Keep me accountable. I have run over 9 miles a many times, but the race is in the middle of the night and that will be a huge mental obstacle for me. I could definitely use encouragement, prayer, and accountability! I'm a mental runner so having a good mindset is going to be key.

3. Share this information!

Thanks so much! I can't wait to keep everyone posted on this journey! Follow along with me on instagram and twitter for training and fundraising updates.
