Nowadays, drug testing is a common practice whether it is done as part of workplace regulations, or during preparation for a competitive sport. Pre-employment testing is common since most employers believe hiring a drug user could be a bad decision. Some people fail this test not because they are heavy drug users, but because they choose to use drugs to calm nerves before an interview. Even if a potential employer has not scheduled to carry out any tests, it is not a good idea to take them before the interview.
